From February 26th to March 3rd, 2020, our data ingestion pipeline had data loss problems affecting all Amplitude customers. The loss rate is less than 0.05% of the total received data during this period. Even with this occurring, we observe a maximum monthly data loss for February that is less than 0.01% and for March, we anticipate it to be less than 0.01%. Due to the nature of the event, we do not recommend doing a backfill as it will create duplicate events. While we are not able to recover these lost events, we have put more monitoring and alarms in place to detect such scenarios in the future.
